Mama Dolce was founded to offer luxury free-from ice cream where nothing is compromised and all get to indulge.
Weeks before the first official batch was to be produced, the packaging supplier had dire news - the beautifully designed tubs wouldn’t be ready on time. With the producer unable to hit stop on the production line, an urgent solution was needed...




I proposed a possible pivot; the packaging was going to be compromised no matter what, but why can’t we spin it intentionally? “For Your Ice Only” became the slogan. The stickered tubs, originally a subpar solution, became indicators of rarity and exclusivity, elevating the customer experience.
Packaging was redesigned after some experimentation to bear the slogan and additional elements calling out that the product inside was part of the limited edition first batch, transforming the compromise into the commodity. It allowed the early backers, the first ones to receive the newly produced ice cream, to feel even more a part of the Mama Dolce story.
Since then, Mama Dolce has gone on to producing ice cream for retail and partnering with events that want luxury enjoyment that’s accessible to all.
